Accessible only by river or floatplane, Fort Selkirk is the best-preserved historic site on the Yukon River and one of the most unique cultural attractions in the Yukon. Once a thriving trading post and North-West Mounted Police outpost, it served First Nations communities, fur traders, and Klondike Gold Rush stampeders. Today, it is carefully maintained by the Selkirk First Nation, offering visitors an authentic journey into northern history, Indigenous culture, and one of the best preserved heritage sites in Northern Canada.
